Gemdale Gold Concludes Phase 2 Drilling at Pontio Gold Project
Gemdale Gold Inc. has completed its Phase 2 drilling program at the Pontio gold project in Finland. The venture involved 14 holes over 2,860 meters, focusing on the S1 Sector with a 50-meter drill spacing. This initiative aims to support the forthcoming Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) due in early 2027.
The program enhances drill density and clarifies gold mineralization continuity within S1. Following a successful 5,000-meter Phase 1 drill earlier in the year, which confirmed gold mineralization in several sectors, the company now awaits assay results.
Metallurgical testing by SLR Consulting Ltd. is also underway to explore processing options. Preliminary results are expected soon, contributing vital data to the project's development potential.
CEO Toby Strauss highlighted the advancement towards the MRE, noting the total 7,860 meters of drilling this year alongside 10,000 meters of historical data, focusing on shallow mineralized zones.
