The Payments Group Holding GmbH & Co. KGaA has announced the activation of its e-money license granted by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) for Calida Financial Ltd. This development enables The Payments Group (TPG) to offer e-money services throughout Europe. The strategic partnership with Bluecode, a prominent European mobile payment provider, marks a significant milestone.
Calida, part of TPG, can now offer customized e-money solutions across Europe, including payment accounts. TPG, based in Frankfurt, becomes the first e-money issuer integrated into the Bluecode system, with services available to residents across the European Economic Area. This partnership enhances Bluecode's network, which includes international collaborators like Alipay+ and Discover Global Network.
The activation of this e-money license represents a crucial step for TPG, expanding their market reach and providing robust payment solutions to online retailers and end-users.
