HEIDELBERG Acquires Polar Mohr Rights, Strengthens Packaging Market Position

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) has reached an agreement with the Polar Group to acquire technology, intellectual property, and brand rights. The transaction is expected to conclude soon, giving HEIDELBERG exclusive global rights to Polar Mohr postpress products. This move strengthens HEIDELBERG's position as a systems integrator in the packaging and label sector, particularly in Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

Jürgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG, stated that this acquisition confirms their strategy as a full-range supplier, enhancing their exclusivity in a growing market. The partnership between HEIDELBERG and Polar Mohr dates back to the 1950s and has been mutually beneficial.

Polar Mohr will continue to develop and manufacture systems, with SOL Capital Management remaining a key development partner. The details of the agreement remain confidential.
