IBU-tec Secures Major Battery Services Order

IBU-tec advanced materials AG has landed a significant order to develop anode battery materials for a major international energy corporation. The contract, valued in the lower single-digit million euro range, is set to be recognized as revenue within 2026. This collaboration seeks to develop synthetic graphite into anode material, aiming to reduce Western reliance on Asian markets, particularly China, for battery components.

This order comes as a strategic move to strengthen IBU-tec's foothold in the rapidly expanding battery market, augmenting the Western battery value chain. The project underscores IBU-tec's technical expertise in large-scale production of battery materials, both cathode and anode, positioning it to pursue further partnerships with blue-chip international clients. CEO Jörg Leinenbach expressed confidence in this development, highlighting the strategic and economic significance of the order for the company.
