Insightec Reaches 10,000 Patients Treated in EMEA with Ultrasound Technology

Insightec, a medical technology firm, announced treating 10,000 patients with MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This milestone signifies a doubling in treatment volumes over three years, extending access to 62 treatment centers in 20 countries for essential tremor and Parkinson's disease patients.

This growth is part of a global trend, with more than 30,000 patients treated at 226 centers worldwide. Despite regional access disparities, Insightec's incisionless treatment offers options beyond medication or surgery, benefiting patients like Juan José in Spain, who regained control and confidence.

Insightec CEO Maurice Ferré emphasized the need for equitable treatment access across different regions. The company is working with various stakeholders to improve global access to advanced medical care.
