Dysport® Achieves Milestone in Migraine Phase III Trials

Ipsen has announced promising results from its Phase III BEOND program for Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA) in migraine prevention. The trials, E-BEOND and C-BEOND, targeted episodic and chronic migraine, respectively. Both met their primary endpoints, showing a statistically significant reduction in monthly migraine days versus placebo.

This marks a first for botulinum toxin therapies in demonstrating effectiveness in both migraine types. Dysport was reported as well-tolerated, displaying a consistent safety profile. These findings could position Dysport as a pioneering treatment for a broad spectrum of migraine sufferers.

Notably, the episodic migraine trial (E-BEOND) revealed significant efficacy, an unprecedented achievement in this area. The comprehensive BEOND trial results will be detailed in a forthcoming scientific congress, providing further insights into Dysport's impact on migraine management.
