Jaguar Mining Gains Approval for MTL Complex Restart
Jaguar Mining Inc. has received approval from the National Mining Agency (ANM) to resume operations at its MTL Complex. This includes key activities such as underground mining and operations at the Turmalina Mine, and reactivation of the metallurgical and paste fill plants. This marks a crucial step towards reaching the company's planned gold production levels.
The approval came after the resolution of the Satinoco dry-stacked pile issue and highlights Jaguar's commitment to safety and excellence. A new tailings facility is now ready and operations await final clearance from the Environmental Emergency Office (NEA).
CEO Luis Albano Tondo praised ANM's cooperative approach and stressed the company's dedication to enhancing operational protocols. With readiness for resumption, Jaguar anticipates a strategic growth phase upon NEA approval.
