Jungfrau Railway Group Reports Record Profit for H1 2025
The Jungfrau Railway Group, under Jungfraubahn Holding AG, announced a record profit for the first half of 2025, totaling CHF 37 million. This marks a 7.3% increase compared to the previous year. The group achieved this milestone with transport income exceeding CHF 100 million for the first time, reaching CHF 107.2 million, up by 8.2% from 2024.
CEO Oliver Hammel, who took over in mid-June, attributes success to strategic improvements and an efficient team. Visitor numbers also rose, with notable increases in all segments, including Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, Experience Mountains, and Winter Sports.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, planting "climate trees" and pursuing the Hintisberg alpine solar plant project. Despite global uncertainties, including geopolitical tensions, the group's diversified markets have shielded its performance from adverse weather impacts.
