KAP AG Faces Difficult Market Conditions, Meets Expectations
KAP AG reported mixed results for the first nine months of 2025 amid challenging market conditions. Revenue dropped to €193.7 million, a 3.7% decline from the previous year due to weak demand in the automotive and industrial sectors. However, normalised EBITDA rose by 20.7% to €17.5 million, aided by strong performance in the flexible films segment.
The engineered products and surface technologies segments faced setbacks. Weak demand and international trade conflicts contributed to an 8.0% revenue fall in engineered products, with surface technologies seeing a 9.3% decrease. Despite these challenges, KAP AG's efficiency measures yielded a 1.8% EBITDA margin improvement.
The company has specified its 2025 forecast, projecting revenues and EBITDA at the lower end of expectations. New transformation efforts are underway to boost competitiveness amid market uncertainties.
