EcoGraf and Mitsubishi Chemical Forge Partnership for Anode Materials

EcoGraf Limited has announced a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) to supply materials for battery anodes. This collaboration aims to develop a framework for supplying various forms of graphite, including natural flake and spherical graphite, to MCC's operations.

The MOU builds on prior discussions that included technical evaluations and sample analyses. Subject to ongoing evaluations, MCC may enter a long-term sales agreement involving the procurement of substantial quantities of graphite. The partnership aligns with EcoGraf's goal to create an integrated battery anode materials business.

MCC, Japan's largest chemical corporation, continues to expand its influence in the battery anode sector. Meanwhile, EcoGraf focuses on projects in Tanzania and Japan to supply high-purity graphite for electric vehicles and other applications. The collaboration with MCC is seen as a strategic step forward for both companies in a competitive market.
