Hamburg-based Kirchhoff Consult GmbH has topped the 2026 PR-Journal Pfeffer Ranking in ESG and sustainability communications. This achievement highlights the firm's strong market presence in these vital sectors. Alongside partners komm.passion and GFD Finanzkommunikation, Kirchhoff also secured top-three positions in healthcare, banking, and non-profit categories.

Team Farner Germany, which includes Kirchhoff, achieved top-10 rankings across various expertise areas, including internal communication and crisis management. Overall, the alliance maintained its 11th spot from the previous year.

The German PR market faces challenges as fee revenue dropped by 3.8% in 2025. Growth, however, is seen in complex, regulated communications relevant to capital markets. Vincent Furnari of Kirchhoff notes that sustainability is a strategic, not merely compliance-driven, issue.
