Kontron AG Increases 2025 Profit Forecast

Kontron AG, a leading IoT technology company, has announced a significant increase in its 2025 profit guidance. The company's EBITDA for the first half of 2025 rose by 78.2% to EUR 146.0 million, partially due to one-off effects from the deconsolidation of its COM business. The EBITDA margin increased to 18.7%, supported by adjustments in its portfolio.

Revenue for the first half of 2025 remained stable at EUR 781.1 million, with the "Software + Solutions" segment contributing 34.7% to this total. The order backlog rose to EUR 2,278 million, and the book-to-bill ratio improved to 1.26. Kontron's equity increased to EUR 688.3 million, with a positive operating cash flow of EUR 16.3 million.

The company expects revenue around EUR 1,800 million for the year, revising its previous range of EUR 1,900 to EUR 2,000 million. The EBITDA forecast is now at least EUR 270 million, up from at least EUR 220 million. Kontron anticipates the COM business deconsolidation will positively impact EBITDA in 2026.
