Kontron Transportation Secures €26 Million Contract from Czech Railways
Kontron Transportation, a subsidiary of Kontron Group, has received a significant contract from Czech Railways valued at €26 million. The project, managed by the state organization Správa železnic, covers routes between the German border and the Czech cities of Dolní Žleb, Kralupy, and Vltavou. This contract follows a previous €34 million order in 2024 for GSM-R system expansion.
The project aims to enhance voice and data services essential for rail operations. Richard Neussl, Managing Director of Kontron Transportation Group, emphasized the strategic importance of this contract, highlighting its role in modernizing the Czech Republic's railway network. Petr Vitek, CEO of Kontron Transportation's Prague division, expressed satisfaction in contributing to the country's rail transport modernization efforts.
