Holcim Reports Steady Start to 2025 with Promising Prospects
Holcim recorded stable net sales of CHF 5,544 million in Q1 2025, maintaining performance despite challenging weather conditions in North America. The company reported a 1.7% increase in recurring EBIT growth in local currency, driven by strong strategies in sustainable building solutions such as ECOPact and ECOPlanet.
The company continued its strategic M&A activities with five new acquisitions focusing on aggregates and specialty building solutions. Holcim's CEO, Miljan Gutovic, confirmed the Amrize spin-off remains on track for a June 2025 listing.
Geographically, Latin America and the Asia, Middle East & Africa region showed positive growth in recurring EBIT, while Europe maintained strong EBIT margins. Holcim's commitment to sustainability remains evident as ECOPact and ECOPlanet sales reached new heights, propelling the company's recycling efforts.
