Lahontan Gold Corp Commences Metallurgical Testing at Santa Fe
Lahontan Gold Corp has initiated metallurgical testing on gold and silver mineralization at the Santa Fe deposit. The focus is on enhancing CN leach gold recoveries from the transition metallurgical domain, previously recorded at 49% in the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). The company is also working on defining the boundaries between different metallurgical domains more accurately.
Kimberly Ann, CEO of Lahontan, noted the immediate potential impact of improved recoveries on project economics. The testing includes column leach tests, with results anticipated later this year. In conjunction with this, additional assay results from recent drilling at Slab will lead to further test work, aiming to optimize recoveries.
