Leclanché Extends Financial Close Deadline for CINEA Grant

Leclanché SA has announced an extension to the financial close deadline for its €74.2 million grant agreement with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). Originally due by the end of June 2026, the deadline has been extended to the end of June 2027. This extension comes after CINEA accepted Leclanché's request for more time to secure the necessary funding.

The grant supports the deployment of sustainable battery cell manufacturing technologies in Europe. To receive the grant, Leclanché must secure proof of funding amounting to €141.3 million for the project. The extension grants Leclanché additional time to meet this financial requirement.
