Leclanché extends the financial closing deadline for the CINEA grant

Leclanché SA, a company specializing in energy storage, has announced an extension of the financial closing deadline for the €74.2 million grant awarded by CINEA. Initially scheduled for June 2026, the deadline is now set for June 2027.

This extension will give Leclanché more time to secure the necessary €141.3 million in funding, essential for their industrial project in Europe. The project aims to strengthen the sustainable manufacturing of battery cells.

CINEA, the European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment, has approved the Swiss company's request to modify the timetable, thus facilitating the continuity of the Leclanché project.
