Lonza Appoints Samanta Cimitan as Chief Commercial Officer

Lonza Group AG has announced Samanta Cimitan will join as Chief Commercial Officer by January 2027. Cimitan, with extensive leadership in the CDMO industry, is presently CEO of the Celonic Group. Her new role at Lonza aims to enhance customer engagement and commercial strategies.

At Lonza, Cimitan will lead Strategic Enterprise Account Management, Global Marketing, and Commercial Excellence. She will focus on refining a unified go-to-market approach within the One Lonza strategy, facilitating better customer interaction and access to Lonza’s offerings.

Lonza CEO Wolfgang Wienand emphasized the importance of Cimitan’s role in strengthening commercial operations, thereby maximizing the company's capabilities to translate innovations into viable therapies for patients globally.
