Maisons du Monde Reports H1 2026 Results Amid Challenging Market Conditions
Maisons du Monde has announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighting a net sales decline of 7.1% compared to the previous year, totaling €412.8 million. The decrease in sales is attributed to constrained inventory levels and a reduction in promotional activities, with Southern Europe's sales remaining stable while France and online channels saw declines of 4.0% and 11.8%, respectively.
The group achieved €15 million in gross savings, primarily in logistics and transportation, to offset reduced sales volumes. Current EBIT fell to -€36.8 million from -€22.0 million in H1 2025. Free cash flow improved to -€49.8 million, aided by better inventory management.
CEO François-Melchior de Polignac noted the focus on cost reduction and cash preservation amid a challenging market. The company's balance sheet has been strengthened following a refinancing agreement in July. Net financial debt was reduced significantly to €24.6 million.
