Maurel & Prom Updates on Sinu-9 Drilling Results

Maurel & Prom S.A. has provided an update on its drilling campaign in Colombia's Sinu-9 gas licence, where it holds a 61% interest. The Hechicero-1X well has reached its planned depth, and electric logs indicate gas in multiple layers of the Ciénaga de Oro formation. New gas reservoirs were also discovered in the Porquero and Pre-CDO-San Cayetano layers.

The well completion allows for selective gas production from five CDO layers and the Pre-CDO-San Cayetano. Initial tests from the latter showed a production rate of 26.4 mmcfd at 1,800 psi. Production from this layer will commence soon, utilizing existing infrastructure.

The drilling rig will now proceed with the Magico-2X, the next target in the six-well exploration series.
