Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG Acquires R.D.M. Arnsberg Operations

Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG's subsidiary, MM Board & Paper, has signed an agreement to acquire the operations of the R.D.M. Arnsberg recycled fibre-based cartonboard mill in Germany. This deal, structured as an asset acquisition, involves a facility with an annual production capacity of approximately 230,000 tonnes, mainly specialized in liner products.

The acquisition aims to enhance MM's core business by integrating the Arnsberg mill into its established industrial network in Germany. MM anticipates significant synergies, increased production flexibility, improved security of supply, and a broader product offering for customers. All employees will be transitioned to MM.

The financial terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed. The deal is pending antitrust approvals with an expected closing in Q4 2026.
