METLEN and HOUTRIS Form Strategic Industrial Partnership in Cyprus

METLEN Energy & Metals PLC, through its subsidiary M Technologies, has entered an Exclusive Partnership Agreement with Cyprus-based HOUTRIS. The agreement aims to develop new industrial capabilities in defence systems within the Republic of Cyprus.

This venture involves creating a joint company to enhance strategic industrial cooperation between Greece and Cyprus. It will focus on expanding production capabilities and manufacturing, integrating, and supporting defence equipment in Cyprus.

The collaboration combines METLEN's global expertise with HOUTRIS' local manufacturing capabilities. It also emphasizes knowledge transfer, skill development, and bolstering Cyprus' defence industrial base to accelerate large-scale production capabilities.

Under the European SAFE programme, the new entity plans to produce military vehicles. The partnership will explore additional opportunities to produce and maintain defence systems in Cyprus and the broader region, aiming for a lasting industrial impact and economic benefits for Cyprus.
