Metro Bank Appoints New Non-Executive Directors

Metro Bank Holdings PLC has announced the appointment of Iván Duque Márquez and Jacobo Gomez Domecq as Non-Executive Directors, effective from 1 July 2026. This move aims to strengthen the bank's leadership with seasoned expertise.

Iván Duque Márquez, former President of Colombia, brings a wealth of experience in climate action and international development. He currently serves on McKinsey’s Sustainability and Geopolitical Advisory Boards, enhancing his credentials in governance and sustainability.

Jacobo Gomez Domecq, a veteran in investment banking with over 25 years of experience, currently works as Managing Director at Rothschild & Co's Financial Institutions Group in Madrid. His extensive knowledge in financial services promises to contribute fresh insights to the Board.

Robert Sharpe, Chair of Metro Bank, expressed confidence that both Duque and Gomez will elevate the Board’s strategic dialogues, enriching its expertise.
