Neoen Begins Construction of Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia

Neoen has initiated the construction of the 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia. This follows the signing of a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Synergy, covering the entire output of the wind farm. The project is part of Western Australia’s commitment to reach 82% renewables in the South West Interconnected System by 2030. Awarded a Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement by the Australian Government, the wind farm will connect to the SWIS network and is expected to supply energy to nearly 100,000 homes annually.

The project involves the installation of 23 EN182-7.8 MW turbines, creating over 250 jobs during construction. Neoen has partnered with local authorities to invest in community development and ensure benefits for the First Nations through collaborative efforts. The initiative complements Neoen’s existing renewable and storage projects in the region, totaling 903 MW, representing significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure in Western Australia.
