Aurubis AG Secures Copper Concentrate Offtake from Troilus Gold
Aurubis AG, a prominent global provider of non-ferrous metals, has announced a Memorandum of Agreement with Troilus Gold Corp. for the acquisition of copper concentrate from the Troilus Project in Quebec, Canada. This deal was formed during an official visit in Berlin by key Canadian and German government figures.
The agreement provides Aurubis with long-term access to approximately 75,000 metric tonnes of copper-gold concentrate annually, contingent on the completion of the Troilus Mine construction and financing. Expected support includes the German government's untied loan guarantee program, facilitated by KfW IPEX-Bank.
Dr. Toralf Haag, CEO of Aurubis, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership in enhancing the company’s raw material sourcing and strengthening their portfolio with high-quality Canadian copper concentrates.
