Mahlsdorf: Inauguration of First Wind Farm with Nordex N175 Turbines
Nordex SE and UKA Group have successfully commissioned the Mahlsdorf wind farm in Brandenburg, Germany. This project marks the first-ever deployment of Nordex's N175/6.X turbines, which belong to the Delta4000 platform. The wind farm features 10 turbines with a total capacity of 68 MW, designed to optimize energy yield and reduce electricity costs.
The N175 turbines, with a 175-meter rotor and 179-meter hybrid towers, maximize wind capture in moderate wind conditions. This innovative setup allows the farm to supply electricity to approximately 52,000 households annually, contributing to regional energy security and CO₂ emission reduction.
UKA emphasizes efficient land use and community benefits through financial contributions to neighboring municipalities. This project underscores the strategic partnership between Nordex and UKA and reflects the potential of modern wind technology in competitive energy markets.
