Nordex Group Secures 71 MW Wind Turbine Order in Portugal
On September 8, 2025, Nordex Group announced a new order from Portugal to supply and install 12 N163/5.X wind turbines, totaling a capacity of 70.8 MW. This project includes a 35-year Premium Service agreement for turbine maintenance. The delivery of the turbines is slated for mid-2026. Specific details about the customer and the wind farm remain undisclosed.
This order enhances Nordex's foothold in the Portuguese market. With this contract, the company's installed and sold turbine capacity in Portugal surpasses 550 MW. A prior order in April 2025 included two N175/6.X turbines, marking their first deployment in the country.
Nordex continues its global wind power endeavors, having installed approximately 57 GW across over 40 markets. The company generated EUR 7.3 billion in sales in 2024 and employs more than 10,400 people worldwide.
