Nordex Group Secures 77 MW Wind Farm Contract in Germany
The Nordex Group announced a new agreement for the Schneifelhöhe wind farm in Germany. Partnering with Energieversorgung Mittelrhein, Stadtwerke Karlsruhe, and Thüga Erneuerbare Energien, Nordex will install eleven N163/6.X turbines, totaling 77 MW. The project is situated on the Schneifel ridge in Bitburg-Prüm, Rhineland-Palatinate.
The installation will feature Delta4000 turbines, designed for wind conditions at altitudes of 630 to 670 meters. Construction has commenced as of October 2025, with an expected completion in late 2027. Nordex will also provide a 20-year maintenance service for the turbines.
Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil of Nordex highlighted the project as a crucial step in the region's energy transition, aiming to enhance local energy security with innovative and reliable technology.
