NORMA Group Partners with Northern Gas Networks for Network Modernization

NORMA Group's Indian subsidiary, Kimplas Piping Systems Private Ltd., will supply electrofusion fittings to Northern Gas Networks in northern England. This move is part of a four-year contract aimed at modernizing the regional gas distribution system. Since February 2025, over 280,000 fittings are set to be delivered annually until early 2029. These fittings will replace aging metal pipelines, offering more durable plastic alternatives.

CEO Mark Wilhelms highlighted the importance of these products for reliable gas supply, ensuring safe and durable connections for both households and businesses. The fittings, available in diameters from 20mm to 125mm, are used at service connections and link the main pipeline network to individual buildings. Northern Gas Networks currently serves approximately 2.9 million customers over 36,000 kilometers.
