Olympique Lyonnais Signs Mads Bidstrup

Olympique Lyonnais has officially announced the acquisition of Mads Bidstrup from Red Bull Salzburg. The Danish midfielder, now 25, joins on a five-year contract until June 2031. The transfer involves a fee of €10.5 million, with up to €3 million in potential bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause on future capital gains.

Developed in Denmark, Bidstrup started his professional journey in England with Brentford, aiding their promotion to the Premier League. After a stint in Denmark, where he made an impact at FC Nordsjælland, Bidstrup moved to Austria's Red Bull Salzburg in 2023, making 116 appearances. His performances earned him a place in the Danish national team and Champions League experience.

At Lyon, Bidstrup will reunite with fellow Dane Noah Nartey. Expressing enthusiasm, he looks forward to contributing to the club's ambitions in Ligue 1.
