Partners Group Introduces New Total Return Strategy

Partners Group has launched a new investment strategy named the Total Return Strategy (TRS), aimed at providing recurring income and long-term equity appreciation. This approach focuses on control private equity investments with lower leverage. The strategy targets mid-teens total gross returns and an initial gross annual dividend yield between 5-8%.

The TRS will invest globally in high-quality businesses across resilient sectors like industrial manufacturing and healthcare, ensuring strong market positions and cash flows. The strategy employs conservative capital structures to enhance cash yields and reduce financial risks, offering flexibility compared to traditional buyout methods.

Partners Group's TRS complements its existing offerings by leveraging its global investment platform and expertise. CEO David Layton highlights that investors increasingly seek balanced strategies managing downside risks. Partner Todd Miller adds that this strategy targets high-quality assets in less traditional buyouts, aiming for risk-adjusted outcomes.
