Albrecht Reimold Retires from Porsche as Christian Friedl Steps In

Porsche AG announces the retirement of Albrecht Reimold, the Executive Board Member for Production and Logistics, at the age of 65. Reimold, with over a decade at Porsche, is succeeded by Christian Friedl, previously Head of Corporate Quality. This transition coincides with Porsche's summer shutdown on August 31, 2026.

Reimold’s career spans nearly five decades in the automotive industry, marked by roles at Audi and Volkswagen Slovakia before joining Porsche in 2016. His strategic initiatives include establishing advanced production facilities and steering through crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Reimold leaves a legacy of strengthened global production and logistics networks.

Christian Friedl, with a long history at Porsche, will lead the company's production network. His extensive experience is anticipated to maintain and enhance Porsche's competitiveness. Dr. Michael Leiters, Chairman of Porsche AG, expressed confidence in Friedl's ability to uphold Reimold’s high standards.
