Precisely and ASUG Highlight SAP Modernization and AI Integration Challenges

New research by Precisely and the Americas SAP Users Group (ASUG) underlines the burgeoning trend of SAP modernization amid growing AI adoption. Organizations are advancing SAP S/4HANA® modernization, yet encounter hurdles with legacy complexity and data quality.

AI is increasingly integrated into SAP workflows, but largely aids human tasks rather than replacing them. AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and SAP Joule are popular, with 46% of organizations using AI for augmenting tasks. Only 3% have fully automated AI-driven workflows, emphasizing the need for human oversight.

The push towards SAP S/4HANA migration is growing, as 67% of organizations have fully or partially transitioned. Nonetheless, complexities in legacy systems and customizations create challenges. SAP master data cleansing remains a critical component of the migration process.
