PURE Growth Fund Invites Proposals for Clean Energy and Agribusiness in Tanzania
The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) has launched the first Call for Proposals for the PURE Growth Fund. This initiative aims to enhance the use of renewable energy within Tanzania's agri-food systems, promoting low-emission development. The programme aligns with national priorities to boost agriculture and expand rural energy access.
A EUR 2.5 million funding window provides capital, technical assistance, and policy engagement to support clean energy SMEs and agribusinesses. Funded by Austria, the window offers EUR 250,000 to 1,000,000 per company to foster sustainable business growth. It is open until August 1, 2025, with projects beginning January 2026.
The PURE Growth Fund aims to integrate renewable energy technologies across the agri-food value chain, reducing waste and enhancing resilience. It targets services that maximize these technologies' impact on agriculture, thus transforming the sector and boosting local incomes.
