REPLOID Group AG and PreZero Announce Joint Insect Processing Venture

REPLOID Group AG and PreZero Stiftung & Co. KG have unveiled plans for a joint venture in insect processing. Named "CIRCULAR ORGANICS REPLOID V+V GMBH & CO. KG," this new entity will focus on processing and distributing Black Soldier Fly larvae. Located at the Abfallwirtschaft Neckar-Odenwald site in Buchen, Germany, the venture awaits merger control clearance.

PreZero will hold a majority stake of 51%, with operational responsibilities, while REPLOID, holding 49%, will lead research and development. The collaboration aims to capitalize on the growing market for alternative proteins derived from upcycled organic materials, aligning with circular economy principles. Despite the partnership, both firms will maintain their independent operations in other areas.
