REPLOID Joins "BioSurfZ" for Bio-Based Surfactant Development
REPLOID Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of REPLOID Group AG, is participating in "BioSurfZ," a research initiative aimed at creating bio-based surfactants. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space under the "WIR! – Change through Innovation in the Region" program.
The consortium includes partners across the value chain, from residual materials to finished products. BioSurfZ seeks to advance a biotechnological production process to pilot scale, using regional side streams and residuals. This aims to produce high-value surfactants while fostering a regional circular economy.
Director Moritz Gold highlights the potential in residual materials, marking a step toward a new bio-based surfactant market. REPLOID contributes expertise in converting organic residues, supporting Central Germany's economic transformation.
