Route1 Expands U.S. Municipal Relationships

Route1 Inc., a Toronto-based technology service provider, has strengthened its ties with the City of Davis, California, and the City of Santa Barbara Police Department. The company announced new purchase orders totaling approximately US$0.3 million. These transactions further Route1's focus on parking operations, public safety, and mobility.

In Davis, an initial hardware replacement evolved into a comprehensive support program upgrade known as Comprehensive+. This shift represents Route1's strategy to enhance operational performance, replacing older systems with new Genetec AutoVu SharpZ3 units.

In Santa Barbara, the success of an initial deployment led to additional orders, including four more ALPR systems. Route1's ABI platform will be used to analyze enforcement data and optimize operational efficiency.

The deals illustrate Route1's land-and-expand model: develop initial relationships, then grow by delivering value-added services and solutions.
