Saint-Gobain Expands in Asia through Strategic Acquisitions
Saint-Gobain has announced two strategic acquisitions to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The Group achieved a 9.0% sales growth in local currencies in the first quarter of 2026. These acquisitions focus on high-growth, value-creating businesses in the area.
In Vietnam, Saint-Gobain completed the acquisition of Phu My Innovative Materials, a leading plasterboard facility. This acquisition, supported by a robust network of retailers and installers, is expected to enhance Saint-Gobain's capability to meet the rising demand for sustainable building solutions in the country.
In Japan, Saint-Gobain will acquire AGC Polymer Materials, a key player in polyurethane waterproofing and flooring solutions. This acquisition aligns with the Group's strategic plan to bolster its construction chemicals platform in Asia.
