SBF AG Secures Deutsche Bahn Certification for Lighting Solutions

Leipzig, 27 November 2025 – SBF AG, a specialist in rolling stock, lighting, and sensor technology, has received certification from Deutsche Bahn for its LUNUX luminaires. This certification allows SBF AG to access more tenders and increase visibility within the railway infrastructure sector. The luminaire selection lists, which now include SBF's portfolio, feature products that have undergone technical and economic testing.

The certification aligns with SBF AG's strategic development across three business areas: rail vehicle lighting, public and industrial lighting, and electromechanics. This diversification reduces risks from large projects while ensuring stable development and production.

SBF AG aims to leverage its strengths in electronics and control within its business segments, enhancing resilience and reducing supply chain dependencies. The company is also considering partnerships with OEMs to process larger orders efficiently.
