Schaeffler and Delair Boost European Drone Production

Schaeffler AG and Delair have announced a strategic partnership to enhance drone production in Europe. This collaboration aims to increase the industrial output of Delair’s unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in France, establishing a new production line capable of delivering approximately 100 drones daily by November 2026. Schaeffler’s expertise in manufacturing is paired with Delair's proficiency in drone design and deployment, aiming to fortify Europe’s defense capabilities.

The production will focus on the Damoclès drone, already in use by the French Army, and the newly developed Aspik Interceptor. Based in France, the production facility aims to produce cost-effective drones on a large scale. This partnership looks to bolster Europe's defense sector and accelerate the deployment of advanced drone systems, leveraging Schaeffler's industrial capabilities to support Delair’s expansion.

Rémy Triouleyre of Schaeffler highlighted the relevance of their industrial expertise to the drone sector, expressing the partnership’s potential to enhance Delair’s growth. Delair CEO Bastien Mancini emphasized the cooperation as a pivotal moment in scaling their production capabilities for advanced systems.
