Shanghai Electric Unveils Energy Solutions at Enlit Asia 2026

Shanghai Electric showcased three energy transition solutions at Enlit Asia 2026 in Jakarta. The solutions aim to support ASEAN's power-sector decarbonization, grid resilience, and low-carbon fuel initiatives. The event, running from September 22-24, gathered over 11,000 attendees and 280 exhibitors.

Shanghai Electric introduced solutions tailored to ASEAN's needs, focusing on reducing emissions from thermal power, enhancing renewable energy integration, and providing low-carbon fuels for shipping and aviation. Their High-Efficiency Power & Decarbonization solution targets markets like Indonesia with modular steam turbines and heavy-duty gas turbines, accommodating up to 30% hydrogen blends.

The Grid Modernization & Resilience Upgrade solution integrates technologies for island-grid stability, using synchronous condensers, flywheels, and multi-tech storage. Their Power-to-X Solutions emphasize green hydrogen and methanol, building on the Jilin Taonan project.

Shanghai Electric's local projects, such as Indonesia's Pelabuhan Ratu power station, highlight their integrated capabilities. During Enlit Asia, the company engaged with stakeholders to discuss energy diversification, affirming their commitment to supporting ASEAN's energy transition.
