Shanghai Electric made a significant impression at the World Future Energy Summit 2026 in Abu Dhabi, presenting diverse energy solutions tailored for the Middle East. The company highlighted innovations in solar power, desalination, hybrid energy storage, hydrogen energy, and green fuels to support sustainable energy transitions in the region.

The Middle East faces a unique energy challenge due to abundant oil, gas, and solar potential but limited water resources. During the summit, Shanghai Electric emphasized its role as a system integrator, focusing on renewable integration, grid stability, and industrial decarbonization.

Immersive displays showcased Shanghai Electric's technology. Highlights included the Dubai Solar Park and methods for efficient seawater desalination. They also demonstrated grid stabilization solutions and advanced hydrogen energy production methods, such as the Bristack® electrolyzers and the Taonan Green Methanol Project.
