ATHA Energy's Exploration Program Yields Promising Results in Angikuni Basin
ATHA Energy Corp has announced significant findings from its 2025 Angilak Exploration Program in Nunavut. The company completed its first two drill holes, marking a noteworthy start to their 10,000m diamond drilling initiative. At the KU Discovery Target, the initial drill hole, KU-DD-001, revealed multiple zones of uranium mineralization within the Angikuni Basin, underscoring the potential for further discoveries along the 31 km RIB-Nine Iron corridor.
The survey at KU identified a 2 km by 500 m geophysical gravity anomaly, further confirming the potential for uranium deposits. Additionally, drilling at the Lac 50 Deposit extended mineralization at the J4/Ray Zones by approximately 100 m, indicating its continual openness and potential for expansion.
ATHA Energy's CEO, Troy Boisjoli, emphasized the significance of these initial results, reinforcing the company's strategic exploration approach in an emerging uranium-rich district. As the exploration progresses, the prospects for discovering and expanding uranium deposits in the Angikuni Basin appear promising.
