EPC Groupe Secures Major Contract at Senegal's Boto Gold Mine
EPC Groupe's subsidiary, EPC Mineex Senegal, has finalized a significant contract with Boto SA, the operator of the Boto gold mine in Senegal. The contract, valued at approximately 15,000 million CFA francs (€23 million) over three years, includes the deployment of two Mobile Explosives Manufacturing Units, supply of explosives, and associated blasting accessories. Additionally, EPC Mineex Senegal will offer technical blasting services and digital solutions from their Expertir® ecosystem.
The Boto mine, located in Senegal's Kédougou region, is a key gold project in West Africa. Set to begin production in 2025, it anticipates an annual output of 160,000 ounces of gold. This collaboration allows EPC Mineex Senegal to optimize drilling and blasting operations, enhancing operational performance and safety.
The contract bolsters EPC Groupe's presence in Africa, highlighting its strategic growth in the mining sector. Long-term support for strategic mining projects across Africa has affirmed EPC Groupe's position as a leading mining partner.
