Societe Generale Unveils Strategic Roadmap for 2029
On September 21, 2026, Societe Generale announced an ambitious strategic roadmap for 2029 focused on a disciplined, profitable growth phase. Building on the 2023 transformation, the Group aims to decrease costs, accelerate disciplined growth, deepen business transformation, and maintain robust risk management.
Key financial targets include a cost base below EUR 16.3bn by 2029, an average annual revenue growth of 3%, and a return on tangible capital between 13% and 14%. The Group also targets a cost/income ratio below 55% and will maintain a CET1 ratio above 13%.
The Group’s distribution policy aims at an ordinary distribution policy with potential to exceed EUR 21 billion over 2026-2029. CEO Slawomir Krupa highlighted the company's focus on solid growth strategies, attractive distribution policies, and rigorous risk management to meet new objectives.
