Springer Nature Names Patric Somlo as New CFO
Springer Nature has announced the appointment of Patric Somlo as its Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Board, effective November 1st. Patric Somlo joins from Lonza Group AG, where he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance. With a background in private equity, management consulting, and investment banking, Somlo holds a Master's in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Stefan von Holtzbrinck, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed confidence in Somlo’s ability to guide the company through its next development phase. CEO Frank Vrancken Peeters emphasized Somlo’s expertise in research-driven industries and AI-enabled transformation as vital for the company's growth.
Somlo succeeds Alexandra Dambeck, who is leaving for a new role. The company expressed gratitude for Dambeck’s contributions during her tenure.
