Star Copper Expands Mineralization with Phase 2 Drilling
Star Copper Corp. released the first results from their 2025 Phase 2 drilling at the Star Project, located in northwestern British Columbia. The company announced significant findings across six drill holes, revealing promising copper-gold mineralization expansions to the west, north, and south. Hole S-060 delivered the highest grade with 80.30 meters of 0.508% Copper Equivalent (CuEq) within a broader 317-meter zone of 0.291% CuEq.
CEO Darryl Jones highlighted that the results indicate multiple mineralized corridors instead of a single panel. The company plans a significant 2026 drilling campaign with a $10 million budget to further explore these zones.
The drilling aimed at understanding the porphyry-style mineralization, structural controls, and related chargeability anomalies. Both S-056 and S-057 confirmed a western potassic corridor, whereas S-058 to S-060 traced mineralization through volcanic and porphyritic rocks in the north. The shorter S-061 hole verified the continuity of near-surface copper to the south.
