STEICO SE: Q1 2026 Results Impacted by Harsh Winter

In the first quarter of 2026, STEICO SE faced a significant decline in revenue due to severe weather conditions across Europe, resulting in decreased construction activity. The company reported a revenue of €94.8 million, marking a 6.9% drop compared to Q1 2025. EBITDA decreased by 22.4% to €13.2 million, and EBIT fell by 29.6% to €6.2 million, with an EBIT margin at 6.7%.

Temporary cost increases further affected the results, with rising energy consumption due to low temperatures and increased transport costs from disruptions in the Middle East. Currency hedging income and CO₂ emissions allowances sales also declined, impacting profitability.

Despite these challenges, positive indicators like increased building permits suggest construction activity may recover. STEICO's management forecasts 2026 revenue growth between -2% and +4%, translating to €375 million to €398 million, with expected EBIT between €30 million and €38 million.
