STMicroelectronics revolutionizes sensors with the LSM6DSV320X

STMicroelectronics has launched the LSM6DSV320X, a novel inertial sensor that combines activity tracking and impact detection. Featuring two MEMS accelerometers and embedded AI, the sensor measures accelerations up to 320g. This innovation promises promise for mobile devices, wearables, and the IoT, with potential applications ranging from smartphones to industrial safety equipment.

The 3 mm x 2.5 mm sensor incorporates a gyroscope capable of up to ±4,000 dps. With a machine learning core and finite state machine, it optimizes energy efficiency while delivering increased performance. Patented Motion XLF technology enables advanced data fusion, simplifying customer designs with the X-CUBE-MEMS1 package.
