TARS Showcases DexHand at ICRA 2026

At the ICRA 2026 Robotics Conference in Vienna, TARS unveiled its pioneering DexHand platform, highlighting advancements in hand-brain integration. The platform's presentation attracted industrialists and academics keen on AI and robotics.

The chief scientist of TARS, Dr. Ding, delivered the keynote, emphasizing DexHand's ability to perform 26 sign-language gestures, demonstrating its biomimetic precision and responsiveness.

DexHand features a 21-DoF architecture, faithfully replicating human hand movements. This design overcomes traditional motion limitations, thanks to advanced joint integration reducing mechanical backlash.

Moreover, DexHand uses ultra-high-resolution cameras on its fingertips, enabling texture identification at 0.05mm and assessing physical properties through the AWE 3.0 model. Its design supports automated manufacturing, further bridging AI and real-world applications.

Dr. Ding commented on how the conference allowed TARS to showcase its embodied AI solutions effectively. The DexHand platform represents a significant step in human-robot interaction.
